Insulated Glazing

Glazed insulating glass is a high-performance, aesthetically versatile building material that combines the energy efficiency of an insulating glass unit (IGU) with the durable, decorative appeal of ceramic frit printing. This product begins its life as a clear or tinted float glass sheet, upon which a specially formulated, inorganic ceramic frit is digitally or silkscreen printed in custom patterns and colors. The glass is then fired in a tempering furnace at high temperatures (around 600-700°C), during which the frit permanently fuses with the glass surface, becoming an integral, scratch-resistant part of the substrate. This single glazed panel is subsequently assembled into a sealed insulating unit, typically comprising two or more glass panes separated by a spacer bar, desiccant-filled aluminum or warm-edge spacer, and an air or argon gas-filled cavity. The result is a robust, multi-functional glazing solution that not only meets stringent thermal and acoustic performance standards but also serves as a dynamic architectural element, allowing designers to incorporate brand colors, logos, gradients, and opaque spandrel areas directly into the building envelope without the need for additional cladding materials.

Core Product Features & Advantages
  1. Superior Thermal Insulation & Energy Savings: The hermetic seal and insulating air/argon gas cavity drastically reduce heat transfer. When combined with Low-E coatings, our glazed IGUs can achieve U-values as low as 1.0 W/(m²·K), significantly lowering HVAC energy consumption and contributing to LEED or BREEAM certification points for sustainable buildings.

  2. Permanent & Durable Decoration: Unlike films or paints, the ceramic frit is baked into the glass at the molecular level. It is UV-stable, colorfast, and will not fade, peel, or degrade over decades of exposure to harsh sunlight, extreme temperatures, and weather conditions, ensuring the building's facade maintains its design intent indefinitely.

Solar Control & Glare Reduction: The colored frit pattern acts as a permanent sunscreen, reducing solar heat gain (SHGC) and mitigating interior glare. This allows for larger expanses of glass without the associated overheating or discomfort, enhancing occupant comfort and reducing blind usage.

Design Flexibility & Customization: We offer unlimited possibilities in terms of color (matching any RAL or Pantone code), dot matrix patterns, gradients, and imagery. This enables complete creative freedom for architects to create unique facades, corporate identities, or artistic installations.

Structural Integrity & Safety: The base glass is always tempered or heat-strengthened as part of the frit-firing process, making it 3-5 times stronger than annealed glass. In the unlikely event of breakage, it shatters into small, granular pieces, minimizing injury risk.

     Packaging, Shipping & Quality Assurance
  3. Each glazed insulating glass unit is meticulously cleaned and inspected under LED light for any imperfections. Units are then separated by protective EVA or corrugated paper spacers, wrapped in a plastic moisture barrier, and crated in a robust, custom-sized wooden crate with clear labeling indicating handling directions, “FRAGILE,” and project details. We primarily ship via 40HQ containers, providing professional loading diagrams to maximize space utilization and ensure safe transit. All products undergo strict in-process quality checks, including seal durability tests, dew point tests (≤ -40°C), and final visual inspection against approved samples before packing.

Exterior wall decoration: Glazed insulating glass can give the building a unique appearance. Through glazed glass of different colors and textures, various effects can be created, such as bright, modern or traditional architectural styles.

Indoor partitions: Glazed insulating glass can be used as partitions for indoor spaces, such as independent offices, conference rooms or kitchens. Its transparency and appearance can be adjusted according to needs, achieving a balance of privacy and aesthetics.

Floors and ceilings: Glazed insulating glass can also be used to make floors and ceilings, adding a bright texture to the space. Its strength and wear resistance make it a durable choice and easy to clean and maintain.

Glass curtain wall: Glazed insulating glass is particularly suitable for use as the window wall part of building glass curtain walls, especially colored glazed glass, whose colorful patterns and colors add an artistic flavor to the building.

Exterior cladding of the solid part: Glazed insulating glass is also often used in the curtain walls of multi-story skeleton buildings, and the cladding of the solid part. Buildings with this structure often appear in big cities around the world.
